  2. It is for Office Live web site. But you can use it for other site.

You don’t need register a password to me. When you generate a encrypt url, you need a password for it. You can set any password on it. Anybody know the password can access the url. here is the tool link http://olxt.com/protected.aspx

  3. So you are saying that if I have the password, then I am the only one who can access the website? And there is no way to decrypt it, right? I mean no one can goto source page and decrypt it?

  4. The tool only keep half of security. You only can hide the source page use the encrypted url. If someone know the source page, he can access it directly. Exp, http://olxt.com/001122.aspx is a our sample page.
    The encrypted url is http://olxt.com/Documents/a.html?url=1CE815DDE5069EC2D55F7BC14A6F2A8E093FFD9B842FBB42477F42E93C1E97B6&err=

You can publish the encrypted url, nobody can decrypt it unless he has password.

But if somebody knows http://olxt.com/001122.aspx, he can access directly.

Because Office Live Basics doesn’t have protected workspace, so this just is a workaround. It is not 100% security.

You can use it temporarily. such as a few weeks or month. Then change your source page.
Or if you feel unauthorized user use it, then change it.
